BRANDING, DESIGN, ART DIRECTION
Founded in 2022, Pawsability Dog Club is a doggy daycare, training and grooming facility that goes beyond premium pet service; providing equal employment opportunities for adults with autism.
With a distinct identity to introduce to the NYC pet community, PDC needed a compelling brand image that effectively communicates their important mission with a friendly, approachable attitude.
To accomplish this, I developed a comprehensive brand identity that blends Brooklyn’s quirky atmosphere with PDC’s foundational objective; quality pet care by quality staff.
From an illustrative emblem, to cohesive brand standards, to a custom website, the end result is a look & feel that helps pet parents and prospective employees feel welcomed at PDC from the get-go.
The first step in developing the brand was creating a moodboard to help establish the overall vibe for PDC. Since furry friends are the essence of of the brand, it was only natural to dive into a playful direction for the visual look & feel.
Once the visual direction was decided on, it was time to take it for a spin. Starting with the logo, PDC had two specific requests for the design; a clever representation of a dog and incorporating the full brand name.
Voila! After a few rounds of concept designs, we landed on our PDC mascot accompanied with a custom typeface. A fresh, friendly, and welcoming look that convey’s the brand’s mission.
The next step in the brand development was to establish the standards at full scale. This manifested into The Brand Bible, which includes rules & guidelines for the color palette, brand fonts, usage, application, and more.
PDC was in need of streamlining their online presence and communication with clients & staff. A custom website was just the ticket, fully equipped with service booking, membership sign-ups and donation fields.
From Instagram content to social assets to flyer templates, Pawsabilty’s asset library showcases their new, playful brand across all platforms.
