Challenge: 

RAPT Ventures, a corporation who’s mission is to bring the power of neuroscience into the home, was on the cusp of launching their very first product: The RAPTbaby Smarter Sleep Sound Machine.

The SSSM doesn’t just play soothing lullabies, it actually supports your baby’s cognitive growth! “Woah! But, how?” you may ask. That was the exact challenge at hand— RAPTbaby needed a way to explain the science behind the product in a short, sweet and simple way. 

Solution: 

Explaining the complexity of the science was not the only obstacle to overcome— RAPTbaby’s launch was right around the corner. Due to unexpected production circumstances, Kworq wasn’t able to get the physical product in time. So, how can we make something effective, without using the product, and quickly? 

What better way to make some magic than with animation! Kworq created an explainer video that comprehensively breaks down the importance of your baby’s auditory environment, how the product works, and the positive effect it has on their brain function. I spearheaded this production through art direction, illustration and storyboard development.

This is not your typical white noise maker. The Smarter Sleep Sound Machine provides a patented enriched auditory environment by combining soothing soundtracks with neuroscientist designed audio queues that support language development and cognitive performance. The only of it’s kind in the market!

The Storyboard.

The video aimed to demonstrate the Smarter Sleep Sound Machine's impact on infant brain function, highlighting its superiority in the market. Using strategic graphics and color schemes, it visually compared regular white noise with the product's audio cues, showcasing their influence on language development.

Now for the pixie dust to really bring this baby to life— animation! Adding a playful touch to the graphics, we kept the audience engaged with some fun movement, sound effects and an informative voice over to keep it all together.

The RAPT Explainer Video has been RAPT’s top performing piece of creative since their launch, and continues to be their primary source of demonstrating the product’s functionality in an easy, efficient way.
